Full Circle

After months of planning and some anxiety before the trip, Amerigo’s 2019 Journey has come full circle.  I can’t believe how fast the time went and am still in awe of some of the magnificent sights that I visited.  If you haven’t had the chance, take a look at my previous post to get a more comprehensive look at the trip.  Here are some stats from the trip:

Days: 26
Miles: 3,978.4
Gallons of Gas: 494.381
MPG: 8.05
Memories: Infinite

Amerigo did great on the trip – no major problems.  He survived 100+ temperatures in the desert southwest and below-freezing temperatures in Yellowstone.  Altitude changes from <2,000’ to >10,000’. I did constantly check the tire pressure and fluids.  One of my biggest concerns about the trip was vehicle problems; thankfully, they did not occur, and Amerigo is all cleaned up and ready for the next excursion.

The puppies had a blast – I think.  They both lost a little weight but that was probably from the increased activity.  They travel so well but they are in dire need of a bath.

It would be impossible to summarize the trip, so I thought I would just repost some of my favorite memories.  I will follow-up with some lessons learned in a few days.

Petrified Forest
Monument Valley
Bobby in the Black Hills
Mount Rushmore
Grand Canyon of Yellowstone
Grand Prismatic Springs
Grand Tetons
Contemplating Splendor
